Monochrome & the City

I spent this past weekend in Downtown Atlanta for a fundraising and tribute event which turned out very nicely. Of course, I had to take some time to explore my city and take some pictures. The weather was just beautiful this weekend. That perfect time in Georgia when it's not too hot yet. It can be gone in the blink of an eye though and you're left wondering where Spring went and why it feels like the dead of summer! So, trust me, you have to enjoy Spring while it's here!

I went with a simplistic monochrome look this day. You can't keep me from black and white, and also stripes. Standing under the Carnegie monument, I felt and looked powerful. That's all because of this monochromatic outfit. Monochrome always makes a statement without trying too hard. It can be understated, but also bold in its simplicity. Sometimes I want to be one of those people whose closets is all black and white items. They always look so chic without trying and I think that's a testament to the monochromatic trend. Although I may dream of  black and white closet, I know I would eventually want those pops of color! But, here's to creating more outfits of this nature whenever I feel the urge to go full on monochromatic.

How do we feel about monochrome and black and white outfits in general? Be sure to let me know in the comment section below!
